Bush Warriors is a global voice for wildlife, fighting to end poaching and illegal wildlife trade. The purpose is to create global awareness about the devastating effects that wildlife poaching and Bushmeat have on the remaining wildlife populations and the communities that coexist with these species. Some of the world’s most popular animals – elephants, rhinoceroses, tigers, lions, and dolphins – are on the brink of extinction. At the current poaching rate, these species are estimated to permanently disappear from their natural habitat within the next 20 years. Some, such as Central African Elephants, could be gone in less than 3 years. Founder Dori Gurwitz was raised in Kenya, East Africa. Dori spent every free moment he had in the African bush – exploring and tracking wildlife, trapping man-eating crocodiles in Tana River, and scouting for BBC wildlife documentaries. He had the experience of living with the Masai at the outskirts of the famous Masai Mara. Over the last 10 years Dori has been part of the digital media arena and throughout his career has established well recognized digital brands, as well as having worked with some of the leading brands in the entertainment and luxury goods industry. Having reached over 7,000 on Facebook with their projects, Dori and Bush Warriors strive to create global awareness for the challenges wildlife is experiencing, while inspiring people globally via social media articles, education, and creative calls for action.
