DEEDA is a documentary production company and impact agency working to advance human rights, humanitarian aid and global development.  They produce, distribute, and catalyze social impact media and provide advocacy and consulting services to filmmakers, activists, and international organizations aiming to maximize responsible impact. Through the OPS division, DEEDA invests directly into humanitarian grassroots initiatives, providing project and communications support for campaigns and local development programs.

DEEDA works to address a variety of humanitarian and human rights issues, including: Poverty, Education, Social Justice, Health, Water and Sanitation, Voluntourism, Girls and Women’s Empowerment, LGBT Rights, Youth Leadership, Agricultural Development, Social Entrepreneurship, Children’s Rights and Modern-day Slavery.

DEEDA produces the Social Impact Media Awards (SIMA), an annual global documentary competition and traveling series that catalyzes the works of independent filmmakers and change-makers, providing a global screening and distribution platform for important, contemporary social-issue cinema and educational impact films that inspire activism, compassion and social transformation.
