Black Women: State of the Union (BWSOTU) is a theatrical and community event that represents and celebrates black women as complex and resilient people. Through performance, visual arts, community events, and the media, BWSOTU promotes a greater understanding of black women’s significant contributions to the world.
BWSOTU is comprised of creative activists who are award-winning actors, writers, producers, and educators. They seek to empower black women and affect positive change with support from the community.
