We Need to Talk

We Need to Talk

Mette Lampcov

We Need to Talk is a photography and story collecting project about gender based violence and inequality against women world wide. The aim of the project is to open up a discussion and give women a voice who are survivors of rape used as a weapon of war, human trafficking, domestic violence, and genocide.

Mette has begun the project with work in Cambodia, Thailand, and Guatemala, photographing and collecting stories from survivors. She also works in the US. with immigrant farm laborers. The project hopes to help the women with whom Mette directly works and the organizations that support them by giving them a voice.
